Active Harnett CAT Projects;

We are partnering with local organizations to identify homes for our energy and water conservation project. This project involves making simple changes to local homes - installation of compact fluorescent lightbulbs, low-flow faucets and shower heads, and HVAC filters - that lower monthly utility bills while conserving natural resources.  If you are interested in being a volunteer to help us service homes in Harnett County, please contact your coordinator, Brenda Johnson.

Tuesday, July 28, 2009 | Team Meeting

Our goal for the Harnett County CAT meeting is to focus on the awareness and education of green topics that are important to Harnett County residents.  Our kick off meeting highlighted the Dunn Farmer's Market and there seemed to be a great deal of enthusiam around the topic of local food.  As a follow up to that meeting, Sustainable Sandhills offered a free film screening of the documentary "King Corn".  Please view our meeting summary for more information regarding updates, film summary and discussion.  (King corn flyer) or (King Corn movie trailer)
